A life in the industry

As a child, I took my first steps in the food and beverage world in my grandfather’s bakery shop, which was founded in 1947. Meanwhile, my grandmother had a shop producing dairy products from Battipaglia, a world-famous product from Campania.

Later, I started to manage these family businesses, mainly consisting of supermarkets. Thanks to my parents’ management skills, higher education, an abundance of hard work and my passion, I realised that my future lay in business management and in the food and beverage sector.

In addition to this work, I was engaged in my studies. In 2000, I graduated from the University of Naples with a Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management. This degree provided me with the foundations for what would become G. Frigeri Consulting.

With access to this wealth of knowledge and gained experience, I left the family business immediately after graduation to begin my career path. During the first 7 years, I worked as a store manager, and later a buyer for two large food chains, SISA and Carrefour, all of which greatly expanded my management and economic skills.

Prior to pursuing this consultancy career, I was noticed by a major investor and hired as Head of Operations for De Luca, a chain of Italian and Spanish restaurants. So, I left Italy and started my professional career in the US, specifically in Miami.

While working in the US, I played a key role in the opening of 2 new restaurants, implementing new working procedures and helping the company increase its profits, managing a $15 million turnover.

Due to this experience, I was always close to the investors, whom appreciated my work and from whom I had the opportunity to learn a lot.

Although I followed some of inspirational entrepreneurs, my heart played a key role in my choices. Four years after beginning my American dream, I moved to London to live with Federica, my current partner and mother of my beautiful daughter Chloe.

In England, I began to analyse the market, learn about the country’s economic dynamics and collaborate successfully with several companies. Following this, I decided to branch out on my own and explore the best of my skills. Thus, I started my own Business Consulting firm.

I strive to apply my approach to multiple projects, working to get inside the minds of investors in order to really understand what they want.

My career as a Business Consultant quickly began to give me great satisfaction and the first results started to come in. I always take the approach of working as if the business I am assisting is my own, bringing all of my experience and professionalism to the forefront.

Along with great results, it is important to create a good work environment that welcomes everyone and really makes each employee feel part of the company.
I strongly believe in the projects I follow, and I have devised a new formula, in which I also invest directly into the project.

I was responsible for the opening of 4 shops and a warehouse, providing strategic advice, cost-effective strategies and designing operation and business plans. I was able to increase the EBITDA from £250,000 to over £1.5 million.

La Bottega, London UK

I identified business opportunities, and was responsible for overseeing operational activities, along with the opening of two new shops. This created an annual profit increase and the management of the sales process activities with 160% more profit.

De Luca, Miami USA

I managed daily operations, proactively identified and rectified concerns and customer needs, along with participated in the opening of two new restaurants and managed $20 million in renovations.
